New Jersey Aerial Photos

Aerial Photos
October 18, 2011 - I was flying from Denver to Newark and during our final approach, I pulled out the camera to snap pictures ... Delaware River
That's the Delaware River. In this particular region it's sometimes referred to as the Delaware Water Gap. We were still on the Pennsylvania side of the river and Interstate 80 can be seen going along the farther side of the river.
Budd Lake, NJ
Budd Lake, New Jersey.
Paterson, New Jersey
New Jersey is not a wide state at all. I became distracted for a few minutes, when suddenly I looked out and we were already over the city of Paterson! If you're acquainted with the Paterson, the downtown area, Garrett Mountain and the Passaic River are identifiable.
Cemetery
Then I noticed this cemetery in the southeast corner of Paterson. I looked down with sorrow, as my father is buried there. I visited him the next day.
Fairfield, NJ
On the way out of Newark a week later, I captured two shots. Above is the township of Fairfield, NJ. This is my hometown!
Lake Hopatcong, NJ
Flying over Lake Hopatcong in Morris County. Do you remember the amusement park at Bertrand Island? It closed in 1984, but the island obviously is still there. It is the spoon shaped piece of land that reaches into the middle of the lake.

Video - Landing At Newark Airport

The final four minutes as we landed in Newark Airport. Among the many things that can be seen: The Passaic River, Hackensack River, Midtown Manhattan, Lower Manhattan and the New Jersey Turnpike.
