For a good while, the county college
of Morris County's slogan was "I started right!" Ha ha ha! I can vouch for that
slogan because I am a proud graduate, class of 1992 with an A.A. Public Administration! :)
During my freshman year, I totally flunked out of Wagner College in Staten Island, New York,
and living back home in the West Essex region, I began commuting
to the Morris County campus in Randolph in the Fall 1990 semester.
My time at "C.C.M." was a meaningful period where I gained some significant confidence in my
academic abilities and made some good friends. I even played on the tennis
team and had a 14-2 record as the #4 guy on the team! Both loses
were to the same guy at Brookdale Community
College, who won the "#4 guy" championship in our county college district. ;)
My recent visit here was unplanned. After visiting Morristown,
Bernie and I wandered through back roads in Mendham and Roxbury before winding up back
on the County College of Morris campus.
It's a pretty campus, although not the most photogenic place with many of the buildings
surrounded by large parking lots and hidden behind trees,
but I managed to take two pictures (as you can see).
I forgot most of the names of my professors with the exception of Professor Barstow, my excellent Constitutional
Law teacher. And to my teammates whose names I remember
from the tennis team (Dave Hopkins, Joe Milbauer and Nina Calder, Coach Lamb), I miss you! I hope you are well! -Steve
